Finding God's Goodness

Week Twenty. Hopeful. Living in Integrity.

Month Five. Fortitude to love myself expands my hope and kindness.

How many times in a moment do I say I’m going to do something and then get distracted and don’t follow through? , This can include instances when I’m hanging onto anger towards someone that I need to let go. Recently I was pondering this thought by St. Camille’s about what commitment means.  “Commitment is doing what you said you would do, after the feeling you said it in has passed.” Integrity is a quality of love.

When we live in the world, we can easily take on the mindset of a secular society. It is important for us to cultivate in our lives, with great care, God’s way of looking at things.  There are millions of ways God speaks to us throughout the day giving us the opportunity to allow His Word to guide us.

If you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.

Matthew 6:14-15

When I hang onto God’s word and integrate them into my thoughts, they become a part of who I am, influencing my actions and how I view my life. I’m able to forgive others in a different way, greater than my own understanding. I begin to understand the reason I forgive is because I’m forgiven. I become a bit more like Christ, living in love and hope, bringing His light into the world.

Thank You Lord for teaching me to love as You love, loving myself and bringing love into the world.
