If I am honest with myself, I really don’t want “to do” anything hard or experience any trouble. I want to live in the illusion of my mind’s perfect world with no trouble and strife. But of course, that is not reality. To truly live life, I must accept and live in reality.
Over time as I’ve learned what love is, I’ve shifted my perspective about trouble and strife. Rather than looking at them as adversaries, I now see them as friends. I’m learning to recognize them for what they are, gifts that bring me closer to you. They conform me each day to your image – an image of perfect love.
I am a new creation in Christ.
1 Corinthians 5:17
Thank you Lord for drawing me close to You.
