Savor is to taste and enjoy something completely. God gifted me with the word “savor” this year, inviting me to become immersed and devoted to the fullness of being and calling me to walk the path of meaning. My life, when lived from the heart, is a life of fullness, taking me to places of love, meaning, truth, and kindness. I live in the image of Christ here on this earth to serve and to love. I become true to myself, holding nothing back.
I am savoring who God created me to be, held in His right hand of love. Allowing me to grasp onto the portions of my authentic self and shine those out in the world. Fulfilling the plan God envisioned from the very beginning when He created the universe. When he breathed life into creation. When he sat back on the Sabbath, the day of rest, savoring what he created. I am part of that plan and the vision. How sad it would be if I don’t savor who I am in God. How awful if I don’t bring the light to the world as God intended. As I am immersed and devoted to God’s goodness, I chew and taste what it means to love and be loved.
Where I found truth, there found I my God, who is the truth itself.
St. Augustine
Thank you, Lord, for letting your words of truth dwell in me richly giving me a thankful, savoring heart.
I love this revelation. I too will now chew on and savor God’s goodness and love for me. Then in turn share His love with others!

And this scripture reminds me of this analogy:
“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” (Psalm 34:8)
