A Prayer for Self-Kindness
Help me, Lord,
See the hurtful ways I speak to myself and help me talk gently.
Forgive my offensive self-criticism and help me see I am Your beloved daughter.
Seek interior peace, in my relationship with myself and show me how You see me.
Thank you, Lord,
For guiding me to speak kind and supportive words to myself.
For helping me grow in self-acceptance and self-compassion.
For raising my awareness to my thoughts and my beliefs about myself.
For the peace You promise in knowing my goodness.
Grant me the grace, Lord,
To lift my eyes from myself, and to see You looking upon me with great love and kindness.
To truly receive, the life-giving riches You offer me.
To walk in self-kindness as Your beloved one, so I may glorify You in all I think, say, and do.
