When the disciples asked Jesus “Lord, teach us to pray”. His answer was the “Our Father” or the “Lord’s Prayer.” This prayer teaches the perfect model of how we should pray, for what things we should pray, and in what order.
Get comfortable, slowly meditate on the Lord’s Prayer while you enjoy your morning coffee (or tea!)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
