Divine Mercy is never something we earn; it is something that finds us. Before we take a single step toward God, God is already moving toward us with compassion. Like the shepherd who goes in search of the lost sheep, Jesus seeks us in the places where we feel most unworthy, most hidden, most afraid.
After the devastating wildfires in the Texas Panhandle this spring, ranchers and neighbors from surrounding counties drove hours to deliver hay, feed, and fencing supplies to families who had lost everything. Many arrived before official aid organizations could mobilize. They didn’t wait to be asked—they simply showed up. Mercy found people before they even knew where to turn.
“We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.” — St. Teresa of Calcutta
Scripture: “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
