Being Loved

The Gift of a Daughter

I’m so lucky one of my favorite humans is also my daughter. Twenty-eight years ago I was given a gift. Little did I know that as I unwrapped the layers of this precious gift, it would make me a better person.

The gift caused me to become more loving and gentle. To preserve this gift, I had to make some tough decisions but with Gods grace I was able. It taught me a different way to love than I knew before.

On this day of great gratitude, here is my prayer:

Loving God, I am so grateful for my beautiful daughter. I thank you for this gift in my life who is radiant inside and out. I lift her up to You and ask for Your abundant blessings upon every area of her life.

Bless her with spiritual strength and resilience. May she grow in her faith and trust in You, standing firm, seeking Your presence empowering her to overcome any temptations and struggles she faces.

Grant her integrity and honesty that honors you. Help her to always speak the truth and act justly, regardless of the circumstances. May her actions be a testament to her faith and your love in her life.

Father, bless her with a strong sense of self-worth and self-confidence. Help her to see herself through Your eyes, recognizing her value and potential. May she always remember that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and walk with the confidence that comes from knowing she is deeply loved by You.

Amen
