One of the greatest acts of charity is to allow the divine in you to connect with the divine in others. How do we do this? I believe the first step is to be committed to a life of holiness.
The most convincing sign of God’s love is for others to see this difference, this indwelling within us. It’s not how many times we go to church, or show up to serve others. These actions help us grow in relationship with God. If we open our hearts and minds to God, we are changed from the inside out. We begin the journey of sanctification, purity of heart towards holiness.
Lord, hallowed be Thy name. Let me glorify Your name by the way I live my life today. Help me be holy as You are holy and let me persevere in this pursuit. Washed clean and made new in baptism, help me live in purity and connection to You, living in the school of love. Wash me from anything that gets in the way of this goal of praising and glorifying you with my life.
