Behold, the Lord is our shield; he is the Holy One of Israel, our King. Psalm 89:19
Do you have a heart for Israel? The place where Abraham, David, Jesus, and the disciples walked. The places where biblical history was made, and the end time prophecies are going to be fulfilled?
As humans, we are drawn to the sacred. As Christians, we are drawn to the Holy Land. Despite never physically going there, I feel spiritually drawn and connected to this Holy place. With the horrors and atrocities of the region displayed for us all to see, I never thought of praying for Israel but I’m starting to understand that God needs us to pray for Israel.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love her. Psalm 122:6
As we pray, for the peace of Jerusalem, our life becomes divinely ordered with blessing. As we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we see God fulfill his promise.
As we pray for Israel, God restores divine order and blessings in every area of our life.
As I pray for Israel’s shalom (peace), he gives me shalom (peace).
Lord, thank you for praying through me a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem.
