Being Loved

The Divine Worth of Every Person

Saint Leo the Great once wrote, “Let no human being be thought worthless to a human being, nor should that nature which the Creator of things made his own be despised in anyone.” These words echo with timeless clarity, calling us to reverence the sacred dignity of every person.

In the Incarnation, God did something astonishing: He took on human nature—not just to visit us, but to become one of us. That means no human life is disposable. No person is beneath love. Every face we encounter bears the imprint of the One who created and redeemed it.

In a world quick to divide, dismiss, and devalue, Saint Leo’s words call us back to the heart of the Gospel: every person matters. Every person is sacred. To honor another is to honor Christ Himself.

So today, let us look again—at the stranger, the outcast, the difficult neighbor—and remember: this is the nature God made His own. This is the person Christ came to save. And this is the soul worth loving.

🙏 A Prayer for Refugees

Lord Jesus,
You were once a refugee, fleeing violence and seeking shelter.
You know the fear, the loss, the longing for home.
We lift up all those displaced by war, poverty, and persecution.
May they be seen, not as strangers, but as beloved children of God.
Grant them safety, dignity, and hope.
Move our hearts to welcome, protect, and honor them—
For in their faces, we see Yours.
Amen.
